Setting The Lines, Puhi Bay

A Plein Air/Studio piece of local fishermen setting their lines for an evening of fishing from ancient a'a lava flows bordering Puhi Bay near Hilo on the Big Island. I was painting the scene while set up on a small beach at the edge of a shallow tidal pool known locally as Chalk's Beach or Baby Beach.
