Marching Over Mauna Loa

To paint this scene, I was set up in the lee of a wall of lava that was just wide enough to cut the 25 to 30 mph wind gusts in the park that day. The clouds were quick marching across the slopes of Mauna Loa. Painted from Hilina Pali Road in Volcanoes National Park.
